The last two poems are the product of a poetry assignment in my creative writing class. Basically, we were supposed to pick a picture (posted as previews) and then write two poems about it, one in metered rhythm and true rhyme, and the other in freeverse.

I hate assignments such as this. It's extremely hard to write about something which just doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever.
